Static Dress is an experimental rock band. Originating in Leeds, Yorkshire, they formed their band in 2018. Currently, the members consist of vocalist Olli Appleyard, drummer Sam Ogden, bassist George Holding, and anonymous masked guitarist Contrast. Their past members included guitarist Tom Black (2018-2021), drummer Sam Kay (2018-2021), and bassist/backing vocalist Connor Reilly (2018-2022).
They've released two full-length albums, three EPs, and various standalone singles. Their albums include Rouge Carpet Disaster… of 2022 and Prologue of 2021, amongst many other singles. Their EPs are in chronological order called vol. 1, vol. 2, and vol. 3.
They were nominated for the Heavy Music Awards - Best UK Breakthrough Band in 2021. Also in 2021, they were nominated and won the Kerrang Readers' Poll - New Band Of The Year.
